Description
Wet crackers are a traditional food from Putussibau, Kapuas Hulu. The regency, nicknamed ‘Uncak Kapuas’, is one of the largest freshwater fish producers in West Kalimantan. Wet crackers are made from fish, although at first glance this food looks like Palembang’s typical pempek. The distinguishes it is the wet crackers or in the local language called ‘Temet’ are shaped elongated oval with a length ranging from 15 to 25 centimeters with a diameter of about 2-3 centimeters. There are two superior flavor variants of this wet crackers, those are belidak fish flavor and toman fish flavor. Wet crackers are enjoyed with peanut chilli sauce in accordance to individual tastes.
